OpenVERSO gathers its Advisory Board to face the next phase of the project

The OpenVERSO partners Vicomtech, Gradiant and I2Cat, have presented the Cervera National Network of Excellence to its Advisory Board, made up of seven experts in 5G Communications and Networks. During the conference, the focus of the Project on the priority technology of Advanced Mobile Networks was presented, as well as its objectives for both technological development and technology transfer to companies.

During the session, the technological conclusions reached by the participants, based on the progress made since the beginning of the project in January 2020, were fundamentally debated. The partners have had the opportunity and the privilege of sharing points of view with the group of experts. that make up the advisory board regarding the expectations of industrial impact of the OpenRAN and vRAN solutions in private NPN networks and, in addition, business models around experimental infrastructures have been analysed.

Among the conclusions that have been reached are the need to include technological developments as part of the value proposition to companies and the need to attract third-party integration activities and their infrastructures to act as the core centre to face the creation of the next national projects in 5G and future technologies.
